Replacement of ship tank linings
Replacement of protective plastic panels inside cargo ship tanks. Rope access work in a space characterized by high walls and sharp angles.
Project Execution
Work performed directly
on-site.
A rope access project carried out on a cargo vessel used for transporting bulk materials. Inside the cargo tanks, we replaced all the surface lining panels—plastic sheets attached to the steel walls. These panels are secured to the steel tank using welded studs and serve to protect the surface from impact damage and subsequent corrosion.
Given that the tanks were 12 meters high and funnel-shaped, we had to install the plates using only ropes. We cut away the old plates, ground down the joints, and replaced them with new ones.
