Hoftoren roof renovation
Roof restoration work on the Hoftoren office building. Accessing and maintaining structures using rope access techniques.
Project Execution
Work performed directly
on-site.
The Hoftoren is a 29-story, 141.86-meter-tall building in The Hague, Netherlands. It is the third-tallest building in the city and the eighth-tallest in the Netherlands. The building was completed in 2003, which is why the roof required renovation.
The roof features a steel structure clad in aluminum panels. We first had to remove all the aluminum panels to gain access to every part of the steel framework. Once exposed, we removed any corroded sections and applied a new protective coating.
The coating was applied in four layers to ensure sufficient protective thickness. The total roof structure covers an area of 3,500 square meters. After the complete repainting, we had to reinstall the aluminum panels.
