Mega Jack system lifting a platform
Work related to the lifting of a drilling platform using ALE’s Mega Jack system. Preparation of the structure for subsequent transport.

We had the opportunity to participate in and assist with a new project in South Korea, which involved the largest and heaviest lift in history. Using the "Mega Jack System" from the company ALE, an offshore drilling platform—prepared for transport to Russia—was lifted. The entire platform was constructed at the DSME shipyard in Geoje-si, South Korea; it had an astounding total weight of 42,780 tons and was raised to a height of 24 meters.
