Reconstruction of the Atlantic London platform

Visual and magnetic particle inspections during the conversion of a drilling rig into an accommodation unit. Work carried out as part of an extensive reconstruction project.

Project Execution

Work performed directly
on-site.

The oil platform "Atlantic London" is currently undergoing a conversion from a drilling rig into an accommodation unit, addressing a shortage of living quarters for offshore workers. Extensive refurbishment work is underway on the platform. Our task was to perform NDT (non-destructive testing)—specifically visual and magnetic particle inspection—on the platform's three legs and its hull.

The legs were 150 m high, and inspections were carried out at eight points on each leg.
