Maintenance of the Scarabeo 6 platform
Coating, NDT inspections, and modifications to work platforms on the Scarabeo 6. The scope of work also included inspections and dismantling within the leg structures.
Project Execution
Work performed directly
on-site.
Work on the Scarabeo 6 primarily involved painting sections of the legs and the ceilings in the winch rooms, as well as painting suspended work platforms located beneath the main deck. It also included NDT inspection of steel lifting lugs, inspection of pipes within the hull, and the removal of scaffolding pipe sections from the legs. The most complex part was rigging the ropes; access was extremely difficult, posing a significant challenge for any less experienced climber. The work was performed at heights of up to 40 meters, utilizing a full range of standard rope access techniques.
