Glass façade of the Patent Office

Cladding work on the 120-meter-tall Patent Office building. Installation and finishing tasks on the glass façade.

Project Execution

Work performed directly
on-site.

Cladding work on a new 120-meter-tall building, which will serve as the Patent Office in the Netherlands. The entire building is clad in glass. This glass is set into window frames—a task that spanned several months.

We performed various tasks on this building. The primary objective was the installation of cladding panels onto steel beams. Covering the steel columns involved three steps: attaching small profiles to the steel (using a fastening system), screwing the panels onto these profiles, installing insulation between the steel beams and the profiles, and finally covering the entire structure with 1mm-thick silver panels.

We used a winch to hoist all materials into position. During the cladding process, we also installed 100 meters of the QuikDeck system to facilitate the installation of a glass roof above the top level, as well as several window frames on the building. We completed all rope-access work within 9 weeks for the company SkyAccess B.V.
